Septic sacroiliitis - clinical and MR findings
The diagnosis of septic sacroiliitis is not a simple task. It is necessary to set early suspicion of inflammatory and infectious joint disease, particularly in patients with non-specific clinical symptoms such as pain in the groin, hip or thigh, abdominal and lower back and buttocks, accompanied by fever. A prompt diagnosis can prevent significant morbidity and reduce serious complication. Radiological changes may persist even after the disappearance of clinical and laboratory signs of the disease.
