Sažetak
This paper aimed to map out main social actors and to present key issues regarding the general tendencies (and counter-tendencies) of "urban redevelopment" processes in contemporary Croatian cities. Namely, the public debate surrounding the reconstruction project, i.e. the building of the residential–business complex in the Cvjetni trg square in Zagreb on one hand, and the construction project of sports and recreation center on Srđ (Dubrovnik) on the other, provided the backdrop for the empirical overview and critical analysis of the current situation.
