We read with great interest the case report by Rudavsky and Freeman (1) presenting the use of recombinant human TSH (rh TSH) to stimulate uptake of 131I in the treatment of metastatic differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC). With this exciting approach one could avoid the necessity to withdraw thyroid supression therapy and associated hypothyroid morbidity.
