Foreign trade policy and sustainable development of India
One of the fundamental statements which encourage international cooperation between countries, especially in terms of trade, is that no country can survive on its own, without the contribution and assistance of other countries. This is when foreign trade happens. This thesis discusses foreign trade policy in the context of sustainable development. Sustainable development is more and more mentioned as the basis for the development of all segments, so also in the context of development of foreign trade policy. Foreign trade policy development refers to supporting sustainable development by encouraging cooperation, transparency and dialogue with partners on social issues and environmental issues. Trade is a key priority of every country considering that trade in goods and services contributes to the increase of sustainable growth and job creation. The thesis presents foreign trade policy and sustainable development of India, the country that plays an increasingly important role in world trade. Current situation, as well as guidelines for further, sustainable development of foreign trade policy of India is presented.
