According to the 2011 census, there are 0.25% of Slovenians living in Croatia and 0.22% have Slovenian as their mother tongue. Education of national minorities in Croatia is conducted by three models: Model A, Model B and Model C. Slovenian national minority has its constitutional right to education in a language and script of national minorities by the model C. According to the available data, in the academic year 2018/2019 classes of Slovenian language and culture were organised in four primary schools and three high schools. (https://gov.hr/UserDocsImages//Moja%20uprava//Popis%20škola_%2 0nacionalne%20manjine_2018_2019.pdf). Next to the possibility of education for children of minority groups, Slovenian is, in the last few years, possible to learn in primary schools and high schools as extracurricular activities. The project Additional classes of Slovenian language and culture of the Slovenian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport is taking place in 17 European countries. It is carried out by the Government's Office for Slovenians Abroad and National Education Institute of the Republic of Slovenia.
