Integration of the EV charging stations into the public lighting infrastructure
In recent years, share of electric vehicles (EV) is increasing every year. This EVs growth of share requires increase in a number of the charging stations which are currently not enough distributed in the system. Most of the people in large cities live in flats where they do not have possibility to charge their EV at home. On the other hand, public lighting infrastructure is very developed in the cities and not used during the daytime. In this paper, possibilities of EV integration into the public lighting infrastructure will be presented. Firstly, public lighting infrastructure is modelled based on the real measurement data. After the public lighting infrastructure is modelled, methodology used for the determination of the maximum number of charging stations that can be integrated into the public lighting infrastructure is presented. When the maximum number of charging stations which can be integrated into the public lighting infrastructure is determined, the analysis of the influence of the charging stations on line loading and voltage profile is performed. In the last part of the paper, conclusive remarks are brought based on the analysis results
