Entrepreneurial learning as individual and organizational learning
The purpose of this paper is to conceptualize the dynamics of entrepreneurial learning as a field that combines individual and organizational learning in the context of new venture creation or emerging organizations as well as in existing organizations. Entrepreneurial learning is a somewhat elusive concept that permeates the learning literature merging the field of entrepreneurship with the field of learning organizations and organizational learning. This paper is a contributing in this regard. Special emphasis is given to the identification of challenges in new venture creation, implications of venture acceleration programs, implications of four entrepreneurial learning mechanisms as well as complementarity of entrepreneurial and organizational learning. On the basis of critical analysis of the previous contributions, entrepreneurial learning has been delineated, challenges and opportunities in entrepreneurial learning have been identified and complementarity of entrepreneurial and organizational learning has been discussed.
