Health care mentor's competency

Health care monitoring has progressed over the years as a fully-proffesional teaching concept: a view on the applicable literature and relevant researches tells in favor of health care mentor defining as well as the nurse, who gained knowledge, skills and expertise certified by higher education program and fulfills defined results in developing frame teaching support second phase, monitoring and accessing in practice. It is important to mention that the term „health care mentor“ is differently defined in various countries today along with small number of relationship reserches mentor's effectiveness or sinple lack of effectivness measuring tools. The purpose of this researcs is to verify mentor's competency access questionnaire, changed and modified vslid instrument (NCTEI) defined competency and to have a view into the student's expectation and mentor's competencyevaluation on regular and extraordinary nursing studies as a part of further research with aim to make a mentor's competency standars in Croatia with learning outcomes and competences according to the EU Directive. Metric characteristics results shows that whole questionnaire Cronbach a is 0, 97, which is very reliable according to the Georg & Malery scale. Cronbach a coeficient for 1st category (clinical exercises general verification) is 0, 85 and for 2nd category ( teaching outcomes and cooperation with mentor) 0, 98. Furthermore, results shows in second part os research that 46% of inteviewed students accessed mentor's execution of exercises as excellent and there are a differences in results between regular and extraordinary students which leads to the differents metodology educational approach towards extraordinary students, based on Andragogy educational methods.
