Unification of Criminal Law in the Interwar Yugoslav State (1918–1941)
After the unification of the Yugoslav state in 1918, six criminal codes and just as many codes of the criminal procedure were in force on the territory of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. For this, it is logical that the unification of laws was a major political goal and a priority task for the government. The author gives an overview of the process of unification of substantive and procedural criminal law - its particular complexity indicates how turbulent, long and low-efficient the process of unification of criminal law in Yugoslavia actually was.
