The Free Will Problem from an Interdisciplinary Approach
The problem of free will is one of the main problem in philosophy but also in psychology. Both, philosophy as well as psychology, a trying to give an answer if the humans have free will, philosophy speculative, and psychology practice with experiments. In order to show one approach of this problem I will introduce one Croatian philosopher and psychology, Elza Kučera (Vinkovci, Croatia, 1883. – Zagreb, Croatia, 1972). Kučera approaches the problem of free will from the position of the experimental psychology. As can be found in her article, "Experimental Contributions to the Characteristic of Motivation in Voluntary Action" in her experiment Kučera has been applying a contemporary experimental methodology to capture various aspects of human mental states.
