Color Reproduction by Individualized Half-tone Shapes
Research was done into individualised randomly selected raster shapes and their effects in colour printing. They can be successfully employed on securities, documents and everywhere an individual photographic reproduction solution is required. As well as classical geometrical forms, several asymmetrical forms are proposed from the logarithmic and trigonometric area. Visualisation and testing of the correctness of the raster element was done with Mathematica. Now experiments are under way on the application of randomly generated raster forms in the area of general reproduction. In the article, apart from the original mathematical algorithms, PostScript programme approaches are given. As well as the application results, there is a discussion about the advantages, uncharted areas and a comparison with FM and AM screening.
