Analysis and Evaluation af Employment in the Maritime Transport System of the Republic of Croatia

The main objective of this paper is to investigate the state and trends of employment in the maritime transport system of the European Union and the Republic of Croatia. The paper examines the interdependence of the number of employees in maritime transport on the one hand and the total number of employees in the transport system, of GDP trends, on the other. The descriptive statistics method and the correlation analysis method were used to investigate the regularities and regularities that govern the relationships among these stochastic phenomena. The lessons learned contribute to a scientifically based insight into the direct contribution of maritime transport to overall employment within the transport sector. The main finding of this paper points to the fact that rail transport will remain a significant source of employment, although the downward trend in the number of employees in this transport subsystem will continue in the near future.
