Ecosystem approach to treatment of alcoholism

The paper present a comprehensive, ecosystem approach to treatment of alcohol-related dosorders and problems, reviewing traditional treatment settings, stresses the need to develop a treatment system dedicated to people with lesser problems, as well as people with comorbid addiction or disorder. It emphasizes the need for development, education and training of early interventions in this area, as well as the strengthening of the activities of NGO swector or self-help groups. This paper presents the most common and most effective psychoterapeutis methods in addiction work: familly therapy, transactional analysis, cognitive and behavioral therapy. Programs should be created in accordance with socio- cultural models and in accordance with ther tradition of addiction treatment in eachenviroment.
