Achivements of Transition process in the Central and Eastern European Countries - Multicriterial analysis
The two basic goals of transition are (a) development of market economy with the aim to increase global economic efficiency, and (b) development of democratic society with the aim to protect and develop the basic human rights and freedom. Looking for an ansfer to question: 'to which extent have these goals been achived and what is the comparative position of individualy countries, primarly Croatia?', this paper uses multicriterial analysis methods, primarly the Analitical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The basis of the analysis is the set of indices related to economic development, macroeconomic stability, structural reforms, socio-cultural and political reforms and democracy development.
