Normative reasons: response-dependence and the problem of idealization
Enoch (2005) argues that subjectivist theories of normative reasons that essentially invoke some kind of idealization condition might have a problem in justifying the need for idealization. I argue, instead, that response-depedentist accounts that are able to distinguish between appearance and reality have sufficient resources to answer Enoch's objection. In order to show this I use the analogy with response-dependentist accounts of color.
