Is Radical Feminism a Problem? The Case of Helene Druskowitz
Helene Druskowitz is born on 2 May 1856 as Helena Maria Franziska Druschkovich in Hietzing by Vienna. In 1873 she finished the study of piano at Vienna Conservatory. Druskowitz moved with her mother to Zurich to study at the University. She receives her PhD with a thesis Don Juan in Lord Byron which made her the first German-speaking women to receive a PhD title. In 1891 Druskowitz was taken to the psychiatric clinic in Dresden after having unrestrained outburst in the boarding house where she was living. On 15 June she was taken to the clinic Mauer-Öhling in Austria where she died in 1918.
