Choice of nest platform materials for the White Stork (Ciconia ciconia)

If we wish to ensure protection for the white stork against electrocution, and to limit power outages, the choice of metal in the construction of platforms mounted on the top of electric power poles is an unsound one. The use of metal, as opposed to wood - which is the recommended material - exposes the white stork to increased danger from lightning. So, wooden platforms is recommened. The drawings of platform with measures is presented.
