Standardization of Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes Acquisition at the Beginnings of a Child's Compulsory Education
Discussions on whether learning outcomes should be defined at the beginning of compulsory education are frequent, as the level of children's cognitive development can vary. The aim of the research presented in this paper is to examine assessments conducted by preschool teachers and primary school teachers regarding the achievement of learning outcomes at the beginning of compulsory education using the example of learning outcomes contained in the proposal of the National Curriculum of Inter- Subject Topic of Citizenship Education within the Comprehensive Curricular Reform. Eighty seven participants took part in the research. Although a statistically significant number of second grade teachers assess that learning outcomes have been achieved to a larger extent in comparison with preschool teachers, the results obtained in this paper speak in favour of standardization of learning outcomes at the beginning of compulsory education in all three areas: knowledge, skills and attitudes.
