Hydrogen Affected Cracking of Welded Steel Joint
Welded joint of constructional steel was hydrogen charged by electrochemical cathodic procedure. Tensile tests, XRD analyses and SEM studies have shown that weld start and weld stop are the strongest traps for H absorbed in heat affected zone of weld where decohesion of material was registered.
