Sažetak
The concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has increased mainly as a result of human activities since large-scale industrialization. Agricultural ecosystems play a significant role in greenhouse gas emissions, particularly carbon dioxide. Irresponsible land management can lead to increase of atmospheric CO2 concentrations that contribute to global warming. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of fertilization on soil CO2 flux and to determine a relationship between C-CO2 emissions and agro-ecological factors during the winter wheat vegetation. The CO2 flux was higher in winter wheat growing season and lower during the period without the cover crop. Average CO2 fluxes were strongly positively correlated with soil temperatures (r=0.56) and relative soil moisture (r=0.51) at 10 cm depth. Mean daily CO2 flux ranged from 0.2 kg ha-1 day-1 on black fallow up to 54.3 kg ha-1 day-1 on treatment IX. Mean annual C-CO2 emissions show significantly higher values on treatments with applied high fertilization doses in comparison to low and non-fertilized treatments.
