Measurement of the cranium and mandible of the horse originated from 8th century
The investigated horse was excavated 1970. on Otok archaeological site (eastern Slavonia, Croatia). In grave number 16 the skeletons of horse rider and horse were found. The horse cranium is seriously damaged, which lead us to conclusion that horse was killed. Mandible is less harmed. After sticking togerher cranium fragments that fit, we approach to measuring. The measures were defined according to Driesch (1976). We can make good use of 24 measures for very damaged cranium and 20 for mandible, together with 6 measures for teeth.
